About Our Club. . .
Each meeting our tatting club is growing. When we meet, we share our personal projects by passing them around, learning from others while we enjoy the social fellowship. It is not a class, but we help each other. We tat trim for all kinds of clothing (including shoes!), trim doll's clothes of all siies as well as stationery and greeting cards, create earrings, purses, necklaces, doilies, Christmas ornaments, miniatures for dollhouses, bookmarks, needle cases, sachets and wall hangings. We rent booths at craft fairs to display, demonstrate and sell our tatted creations during the year. In the Needle Arts Festival held at Foothills Mall in Tucson on February 21 and 22, 1998, we donated a tatted quilt square (see photo) for the quilt raffled at the festival. Other squares were donated by knitters, smockers, ribbon embroiderers, quilters, needlepointers and other Tucson clubs. It was beautiful! You are invited to join us. As a tatting member, dues are $10.00 per year. Though it is not a requirement, we encourage all members to support our rented booths by volunteering to demonstrate tatting or by simply helping to man the booth.
